The source of the diesel, bilges into which diesel is spilled every time the boat is filled because the filler neck is a hose place on threaded pipe (threads do not seal!). This means that when the boats go to the islands or snorkeling with whale sharks, the diesel is pumped out of the boats and into the water where tourists and animals and fish swim and live.
