Baja Pirates fishing fleet illegal activity
The photographs here document some of the
illegal activity we bear witness to in living
at Cantamar marina in Pichilingue near La
Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The Baja
Pirates is a commercial fishing charter fleet
owned by an American and which, like every
other American-owned business in the La Paz
area, as we have witnessed directly, does
not respect Mexican laws, nor the environment,
and operates in Mexico with impunity. This
business represents how most Americans treat
La Paz, like their personal playground with
no pesky US laws to impede their ability
to exploit exploit exploit.
We live on the ocean, and we will not continue
to tolerate being treated like crap by people
and a government who operate with impunity
and who do so at the expense of the people
of Mexico and especially at the expense of
the environment and ocean on which we live
and travel and depend for our food.
Please review these photographs and video
below and know that they are evidence of
crimes committed by an American-owned business
which has no respect for the people of Mexico,
the laws of Mexico, or the environment from
which they profit. These people are the worst
kind of Americans, and they cater to the
worst kind of people - trophy fisherman.
"Oooh, look at me, I tricked a fish
into eating something I put on a sharp metal
hook, and then drug it into a boat using
lots of expensive equipment someone payed
not quite a lot of money for and then cleaned
it and cut it up for me and gave me this
photograph...aren't I cool?"
We are refugees, and we do not have to continue
to tolerate being treated this way while
tourist businesses which scare away tourists,
don't pay taxes, and damage the environment
treat us like crap. On Sunday, April 28th,
2019, the man in the photographs below seen
dumping fish in the ocean illegally, which
he does EVERY DAY, tried to run me, my caregiver,
and my dog over with the transport van. That
was the last straw and we will pursue Baja
Pirates until they comply with the law either
by running their business legally, or not
running it at all.
